The Executive Head Teacher of the GPP Federation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to inspire, motivate, children under the direction of the class teacher/SENDCo. This role is term time only (excluding Inset days), for 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12noon and 12.30pm to 3pm on a fixed term contract for as long as the child is at our school, starting ASAP on Grade 5. The role also includes a Midday Supervisor contract to cover 2.5 additional hours of lunchtime supervision from 12.30 pm to 1pm.

Our student is enthusiastic, knows her routines and wants to learn. She loves being at school and wants to take part in the whole of school life but needs to have support with communication, social interaction and sensory differences. She loves the outdoors.

Relevant experience and qualifications of at least NVQ 3 is desirable along with experience of supporting children in a Primary setting. The ideal candidate will have had experience of supporting children with an EHCP, will understand how to help children with communication difficulties and understand the emotional and behavioural barriers that children can experience in their learning. However, a candidate with experience in a context that is different to a classroom situation would be considered for the role.
