The Governors of Coalway Community Infant School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our committed team.

We are looking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic, hard-working and highly effective Teaching Assistant to support children across the infant age range, including children with additional needs.

Ideally, the successful candidate would have previous experience of working with children with communication and interaction difficulties and is willing to carry out intimate care. The successful candidate should be able to work flexibly and intuitively, to meet needs. Part of this position will involve working with children who have social and emotional difficulties that impacts on their ability to engage with, and access, learning. Support from the SENDCo and other agencies would be provided.

Under the direction of the Class teacher and SENDCo, main duties may involve delivering the provision as stated in the EHCP; supporting children in class to access the curriculum; one-to-one intervention and small group work. This may also include delivering interventions such as speech and language and phonic keep up.

We are looking for someone who:
* is patient, calm and has a positive attitude, has great people skills and works well as part of a team
* is supportive of our school values
* has experience of working with children who have complex social, emotional and learning needs
* will provide learning support in class, throughout the infant age range, or on a 1:1 basis
* will facilitate inclusion in small group activities with peers and support interactions
* has experience of, or is willing to be trained in, co-regulation and de-escalation strategies
*has flexibility around working hours
* is willing to liaise and work with the SENDCo and other multi-agencies
* will facilitate strong levels of communication between home and school
* loves working with children and demonstrates kindness, compassion and fun
* will go the extra mile
