As our Head of Compliance (Building Safety), you ll play a key role in helping us provide this for our tenants. You ll ensure our homes and commercial properties comply with relevant legislation by managing the delivery of planned maintenance, servicing and inspections. Taking responsibility for an effective service, you ll keep accurate records to show proof of compliance and manage your budget to drive value for money.

What you ll bring to our team

Using your knowledge and expertise, you ll act as a technical advisor on landlord compliance to our Assistant Director of Assets. You ll build positive relationships with our in-house teams and external contractors and ensure delivery of a high-quality service. You ll value tenant feedback and work with our customer insights team to help build a customer-focused culture.

What we re looking for

  • An experienced senior manager, who has led a multi-disciplined team, working alongside external partners/contractors to deliver excellent customer-focused results.

  • Skills and experience in housing association operational management, landlord compliance, capital works delivery, carbon reduction, Building Safety, CDM and construction related health and safety.

  • Demonstrable experience in contract procurement.

  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to inspire and influence those around them, with a proven record for developing others, building capabilities within areas of responsibility and performance management.

  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to identify and understand the needs of customers and create and deliver ambitious strategic plans to meet these.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to HNC/degree level in relevant subject area, or qualified by experience.

  • A relevant level 3-5 Management Qualification, ILM, CMI or similar would be an advantage.

  • Level 4 ACSP Qualification would be desirable

  • Full Driving Licence and have access to a car insured for business use.

  • NEBOSH Construction, Fire or General qualification would be desirable.

  • Project Management qualification would be desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safety would be desirable.

  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

Salary: £58,670 Annual +
