The Vacancy

Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new Head of Summer School and Short Courses. This is an exciting new role that has been created for our commercial arm of Dean Close Foundation, Dean Close Services Limited (DCSL).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, recruitment, delivery and management of all academic, co-curricular and pastoral provisions of DCSL Camps and Courses. Our current courses offering include our successful Easter Revision Course, Hockey and Drama Camps and our new Summer School and Immersion Programmes.

The growth of Camps & Courses is a key part of DCSL’s strategic plan, and the Head of Short Courses will work with both the Commercial Director and Commercial Manager to help facilitate this growth.

We are looking for suitable candidates to apply who have previous experience in designing, marketing and delivering Summer Schools and other courses, preferably in a School setting.

The Foundation

Dean Close Foundation is a growing, vibrant and diverse family of independent schools and nurseries, uniting around a shared vision and set of values. These spring from the origins of Dean Close School, which was founded in 1886 in memory of Dean Francis Close, Rector of Cheltenham and educational philanthropist. The Christian ethos of that original school continues today where the aim is that every child should be given the opportunities to flourish, underpinned by its core values of courage, contribution and love which are the guiding principles behind its educational vision. The Foundation currently has five schools and six nurseries within its group, creating a strong community that can share best practice, resources and a secure future.
