OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a new Internal Sales team member, working in a specific market sector within the company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing a particular customer group, helping to free up the procurement director.

DUTIES:

The main tasks/duties are as follows:
- Monitor customer spend within the particular sector, swiftly identifying drop-off in spend and find out why
- Get to know the specific customers well and build relationships with them, gaining their confidence
- Quickly gain product knowledge of the stock range, become competent discussing the products with customers
- Monitor the sector inbox, process orders and respond to customer queries, delivery issues etc
- Produce new quotes and pricelists for customers, follow up quotes and potential new customers/leads
- Support customers with product images, datasheets and technical advice

SKILLS REQUIRED:

The following skills are important to success and satisfaction in this role:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced sales & customer service environment
- Ideally some knowledge of the construction/joinery industry or, even better, joinery/doors
- Computer literate with ability to learn new software quickly
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal (good typing skills required)
- Must be well-organised and have a keen attention to detail
- Must be confident speaking with customers on the phone and comfortable in a fast-paced email-environment
