We are looking for a committed and motivated Building Maintenance Operative to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of residential and commercial developments in Gloucestershire and occasionally further afield. The right candidate will not only perform maintenance tasks but will also demonstrate a keen interest in developing their skills and advancing their career within the property sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing various maintenance works including but not limited to painting and decorating, woodwork, roof repairs, bricklaying, re-pointing, and plumbing.
  • Responding to occasional out-of-hours callouts within a reasonable area.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality, in compliance with UK building regulations and health and safety laws.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be someone who is not only skilled in the various trades associated with building maintenance but is also dedicated to their personal and professional development. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the property sector.

  • Experience in maintenance work is preferred, but full training will be provided.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development, with a desire to advance within the company.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.

Legal Requirements:

The successful candidate must comply with all relevant UK legislation, including:

  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 DOE (depending on experience) - £2500 raise after 6 month probationary period
  • Overtime available, offering the potential for additional earnings.

Transport:

Due to the nature of the role, which involves traveling between various sites, we will provide a small van for the right candidate.

Tools:

We do prefer that the ideal candidate does have the basic tools required, we will supply any more specialist tools required.
