Early Years Practitioner (Part-Time, 18 hours per week - with potential for increased hours to 24 hours per week). Starting date: September 2024.

Abbeymead Under 5’s is a small and nurturing playgroup committed to providing a stimulating and supportive environment for young children aged 2-4 years old. We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are dedicated to fostering a love for learning in our little ones.

We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team in the Rising 3s Room. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our young learners. Key Responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to support the development of children aged 2-3 years old. To foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the playgroup. Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents. Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall planning and organization of the playgroup.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Previous experience working with children aged 2-3 years old. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and a knowledge of SEN in an Early Years Setting.
